Electrostatic sprayer disinfection (E-spray) is the process of spraying an electrostatically charged mist of disinfectant onto surfaces and objects. E-spray uses a specialized solution that is combined with air and atomized by an electrode inside the sprayer nozzle. Subsequently, the spray contains positively charged particles that are able to aggressively adhere to surfaces and objects - essentially “wrapping” them. Because the particles in the spray are positively charged, they cling to and coat any surface they’re aimed at.
Electrostatic spray (E-spray) is electrically charged, allowing the appropriate chemicals (disinfectants & sanitizers in food prep areas) to wrap around and evenly coat all types of surfaces for more complete coverage. As the chemical exits the electrostatic sprayer, it’s given a positive electrical charge. The droplets then become attracted to all negatively charged, inanimate surfaces, covering the visible areas as well as undersides and backsides, with the disinfection solution.
Yes!...but only if your priority is to keep your facility safe and healthy, while also getting rid of pathogens and germs. We have found that Electrostatic Spraying (E-spray) is the most effective solution for coating and disinfecting all the surfaces and equipment. E-spray does not replace traditional cleaning. Although E-spray may sound like an aggressive method and process, the opposite is true.
As per CDC recommendations, CB Disinfection uses EPA certified, neutral disinfectants approved for use in healthcare facilities. Our disinfectants can be found on EPA List N: disinfectants use against SARS & COVID 19
It depends on the size and type of your facility or property. However, according to some research, regular cleaning takes approximately 30-45 minutes to disinfect an entire room. Electrostatic disinfection can reduce that average time by as much as 40%.
Electrostatic disinfection does not create a protective barrier nor replace regular cleaning methods. It disinfects and kills unwanted pathogens from surfaces. It's recommended that institutions such medical facilities, schools, and gyms may require electrostatic disinfection more frequently because they are introduced to new, potentially harmful pathogens on a daily basis.
Electrostatic disinfection can be safely performed on and around electronics such as laptops, monitors and keyboards as long as it is not applied directly, for a prolonged period, at close range. We recommend putting away paper documents, along with any food or anything else you don’t want sprayed before the scheduled service.
